It is important to fill your diet with power foods like – dark leafy greens, dark chocolate citrus.


Did you know that certain foods can also work wonders on your skin?

Whole grain oat meals are a better pick for your breakfast. Instead of sugar in your oat meal, go for natural sweeteners – honey, dates with chopped fruits as this will help reduce acne caused by the sebaceous glands secreting more oils that get trapped in pores giving rise to pimples.





Glow with chocolate

The sweet treat is loaded with cocoa flavonols, a potent antioxidant. For maximum flavonols content, eat chocolate that’s at least 70 percent cacao. A couple of squares a day should be enough to improve luminosity.


Prevent wrinkles with curds

The protein we get from eating yoghurt daily helps skin become firmer.



Walnuts are loaded with omega -3 fatty acids which improve the skins elasticity. It is loaded with copper, a mineral that boosts collagen.



They’re packed with polyphenol antioxidants like Tannin, according Karen Collins, MS, RD, CDN, a nutrition adviser for the American Institute for Cancer Research.

Polyphenols fight free radicals and regulates the skin’s blood flow. One pomegranate or a few glasses of juice daily should do the trick.  When applied to skin, the fruits’ antioxidants help smooth lines and moisturizing.


More skin friendly foods you must include in your daily diet.

Eat loads of citrus fruits, carrots, strawberries, blackcurrants, potatoes, tomatoes (better when cooked), cabbage, pumpkin, broccoli and sprouts, Chickpeas, eggs, caffeinated coffee.


Water flushes out the toxins, so drink plenty of water….
